I am proud of Alameda & I am proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community = “Alameda Pride”.

Creating an event for ALL LGBTQ+ Alamedans & their supporters, is what I am most proud of. I have dreamed of moving to a community where I can not only be & do anything, but also give back to those in my community. This is what I hope that I have achieved!

I sincerely hope you enjoy Alameda Pride in the Park.

VICE PRESIDENT

As the proud husband of Jeramie, founder of Alameda Pride and being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I always look for a way to gather, celebrate and enjoy who we are in a safe space, and a Pride event is that place. 

I proudly serve with many other organizations around town like Kiwanis Club and the Elks so I am thrilled to add Alameda Pride and Alameda Pride Foundation Board to the list. This has been a huge milestone event that will continue for years for the Alameda community and the Foundation will continue to give back to the LGBTQ+ community here in Alameda.

SECRETARY

I’m proud and honored to be one of the founders of Alameda Pride, Pride in the Park and QTAC.  I’ve worked for the City of Alameda since 2012 and my professional career has been dedicated to public service – in both the public and non-profit sectors. Early in my career, I worked for the Pacific Center, an LGBTQ+ community center in Berkeley, coordinating youth and community programs. The support Alameda Pride has experienced from Alameda residents and businesses is deeply meaningful and impactful to me personally and for our entire community.

TREASURER

As a proud Alameda resident for more than 30 years, a dedicated community volunteer, and a former Co-Grand Marshal of the Mayor’s Fourth of July Parade in 2007, I am honored to be part of Alameda Pride. When I was invited to join the board and serve as Treasurer, I enthusiastically accepted the opportunity.

Seeing Jeramie Andehueson’s vision come to life in 2022, with the support of the city, has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life—and it continues to inspire me today.

For more than 25 years, I have proudly served as a member of both the Kiwanis Club of Alameda and the Alameda Elks Lodge #1015 B.P.O.E., and I bring that same spirit of dedication and service to Alameda Pride.

I am especially grateful to my wife, Margaret Dos Santos, whose unwavering support and wisdom make it possible for me to continue serving and giving back to our community.

BOARD MEMBER

I first experienced the work of the Alameda Pride Foundation in 2023 while attending the Pride in the Park event. I was deeply moved by the  joy and connection the event created for local LGBTQ+ families. Since my youth, I've had a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces. I bring experience from my work in the public sector and through various non-profit roles. 

I'm here to serve the LGBTQ+ community within Alameda, advocate for visibility and representation within the larger community, and co-create inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ connection and joy. 

BOARD MEMBER

I'm honored to be part of the Alameda Pride board! I grew up on the lower end of Peninsula and have lived in Alameda since 2003. My first act of political protest was participating in the inaugural 1996 National Day of Silence in High School, supporting my Theatre classmates. I feel it's very important to support my children and their friends in their right to be themselves without fear of prejudice. Alameda Pride's organizing of the yearly "Pride in the Park" event, the monthly OOTI meetups and the weekly QTAC Friday's are critical local resources for acceptance and education.

I'm also the Executive Director of the nonprofit Pacific Pinball Museum here in Alameda, and we're proud to be a Safe Space for all LGBTQIA+ patrons.

BOARD MEMBER

Cary Skywalker is a longtime Alameda resident, LGBTQIA+ community member, and healing arts practitioner with over 23 years of experience helping people find greater ease, connection, and joy in their bodies, minds, and lives. Cary has a private practice in Alameda offering Therapeutic Massage, Energy Healing, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, TRE, and other holistic approaches to wellbeing.

As a member of the Alameda Pride Board, Cary is excited to become more actively involved in supporting and uplifting the local LGBTQIA+ community. He is especially passionate about fostering connection and belonging, supporting LGBTQIA+ community members, and uplifting queer-owned and LGBTQIA+ affirming small businesses. Cary is honored to bring his heart, experience, and energy to Alameda Pride.

I joined Alameda Pride in 2026. When our LGBTQ+ community feels safe and seen, we bring our full self and thinking to our world! I am an Executive Sponsor of Outforce at Salesforce and happy to bring my experience and joy for my efforts there to Alameda Pride.  

Pride is a daily practice of showing up - for ourselves and for the communities that make us all stronger. As the world continues to test the boundaries of equality, I find myself thinking about what it means to be proud and persistent. To celebrate wins without losing sight of the work still ahead.

I’ve been out most of my life. I’ve experienced the warmth of being embraced and the chill of being pushed away. What I know for certain: belonging is built - brick by brick, ally by ally, conversation by conversation.

This is why I'm on the Board - this is why I am out - this is why I'm proud to continue the work our elders started.
