I am proud of Alameda & I am proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community = “Alameda Pride”.

Creating an event for ALL LGBTQ+ Alamedans & their supporters, is what I am most proud of. I have dreamed of moving to a community where I can not only be & do anything, but also give back to those in my community. This is what I hope that I have achieved!

As the proud husband of Jeramie, founder of Alameda Pride and being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I always look for a way to gather, celebrate and enjoy who we are in a safe space, and a Pride event is that place. 

I proudly serve with many other organizations around town like Kiwanis Club and the Elks so I am thrilled to add Alameda Pride and Alameda Pride Foundation Board to the list. This has been a huge milestone event that will continue for years for the Alameda community and the Foundation will continue to give back to the LGBTQ+ community here in Alameda.

I’m proud and honored to be one of the founders of Alameda Pride, Pride in the Park and QTAC.  I’ve worked for the City of Alameda since 2012 and my professional career has been dedicated to public service – in both the public and non-profit sectors. Early in my career, I worked for the Pacific Center, an LGBTQ+ community center in Berkeley, coordinating youth and community programs. The support Alameda Pride has experienced from Alameda residents and businesses is deeply meaningful and impactful to me personally and for our entire community.

I first experienced the work of the Alameda Pride Foundation in 2023 while attending the Pride in the Park event. I was deeply moved by the  joy and connection the event created for local LGBTQ+ families. Since my youth, I've had a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces. I bring experience from my work in the public sector and through various non-profit roles. 

I'm here to serve the LGBTQ+ community within Alameda, advocate for visibility and representation within the larger community, and co-create inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ connection and joy.
